FAQ

HYROX is a global fitness competition that combines running with functional training. The format is standardised worldwide: 8 km of running, broken into 8 x 1 km intervals, and between each kilometre you complete a specific workout station (SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges and Wall Balls).
Unlike CrossFit, where workouts change constantly, the HYROX format is always the same — making it easy to track your progress and compare yourself with athletes around the world.

Absolutely not! Even though our HYROX classes prepare you to complete a race, many of our participants join purely for the fantastic and challenging training. HYROX-style workouts are one of the most effective ways to improve your all-round fitness — whether you ever compete or not. It’s the perfect blend of conditioning, strength, and mental toughness.

Du behøver ikke være i topform for at starte, men du bør have en grundlæggende kondition og være komfortabel med at løbe. Vores hold er designet til at skalere alle øvelser, så både begyndere og erfarne atleter kan træne sammen. Hvis du kan løbe 1 km uden at stoppe og er villig til at arbejde hårdt, er du klar til at komme i gang. Træningen vil hurtigt bygge din form op.

En typisk time starter med en grundig opvarmning, ofte inkluderende et kort løbeinterval. Derefter fokuserer vi på en eller flere af de 8 HYROX-stationer, hvor du lærer korrekt teknik og bygger styrke og udholdenhed op. Timen afsluttes typisk med en workout, der simulerer en del af et HYROX-race – f.eks. 2 km løb med 2 stationer. Det er hårdt, sjovt og utroligt motiverende.

We use the same equipment you’ll encounter in a HYROX race: the SkiErg, sleds (Sled Push and Sled Pull), rowing machines, kettlebells (for Farmers Carry), sandbags (for lunges), and wall balls (medicine balls for squat throws). All equipment is available in our centres, so you don’t need to bring anything other than regular workout clothes and running shoes.

HYROX training is extremely energy-demanding. A typical session can burn 600–900 calories, depending on intensity and body weight. The combination of running and heavy, functional exercises creates a massive afterburn effect, meaning your body continues to burn calories for many hours after the workout.

Ja! Mange af vores deltagere starter med en begrænset løbekapacitet. HYROX-træningen vil faktisk gøre dig til en bedre løber, fordi du træner løb regelmæssigt i et struktureret format. Derudover kan løbedelen altid skaleres – du kan starte med at power-walke eller jogge i dit eget tempo og gradvist bygge din løbekondition op.

HYROX-hold kræver specialudstyr som slæder og SkiErg, så det tilbydes kun i udvalgte centre Østbanegade og Åboulevarden. Tjek vores aktuelle holdplan på hjemmesiden eller i app’en for at se, hvornår holdene afvikles.
